Bon Week-End!

Well Saturday is here. I know I haven't updated in a while and for that I am sorry. Today I woke up at 9:00 because we are getting the kitchen (at mum's house) all redecorated. The plasteres (is that spelt right?) came at about 9:30 AM. I watched TV, but brushed teeth and got dressed before they came. I went to Dave's just after 12PM and we went to the large Tesco Extra over in Norton Village. It is a big store, 2 floors and its open 24/7. I bought a HDMI cable while I was there for my XBox360 as I wasn't getting any audio using the standard HD cables. I tested them out and they work perfectly. I just hung out for most of the day listening to music and messing around on Google Street View. Weather wasn't too bad, didn't rain and it wasn't cold but tomorrow we are getting alot of rain which is coming over from Spain and France. Well thats awesome, I can't wait :( Dave and Dawn went out at 7 PM to a bar because a band was playing. I moved the furniture a bit in my room, I moved the TV from the South wall to the North East corner. After I had moved it I wasn't getting any reception on cable TV. I don't understand why it went but I had to do a rescan, and I wasn't getting any signal. Turned out I had it plugged into "ANT" instead of "RF IN". I thought ANT meant Antenna? Oh well I don't know. After I plugged it back in correctly I got a good signal but still no channels. I did about 3 re-scans to get them back. Turned out I was on the wrong symbol rate. Anyway everything is back now as you can see in these photos. Also the TV looks better in this position. Yes, the channel on was ESPN.

Thursday's Update

Okay well I woke up and put Sky News on for a bit, had my breakfast and watched some YouTube videos. I can't remember what time it was but me, Dave, Dawn, Libby (Dawn's niece) and Dawn's mum all went out to Hartlepool. We went to Wilkinsons to get some home supplies, then had our lunch, then went to Focus to get paint. When we came back I watched more videos and Dave painted the kitchen and it is now finished. Here are some pictures at the end of this post. Also while we were out we purchased a shoe cupboard for the porch. Theres a picture of that too. Thats all for now. Its 9:21 PM and Dave is currently listening to a conference about Ebbsfleet on BBC Radio Kent. They might be going bust, now that would be a shame. Hopefully it will finish after 10 PM so I can listen to Alan Robson's Night Owls in the car on the way home. Tomorrow I am going out to Alnwick in Northumberland, I am going to be visiting the castle. Parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed in Alnwick Castle so you can expect pictures here after my visit. I am also going up to Gateshead on Saturday because Ebbsfleet are playing. I thought they were going bust. Oh well, whatever. Heres are the pictures, as I previously indicated. For larger versions, click on the image.

Wednesday

BONJOUR, Well today I woke up and watched an epsiode of Lost Season 3, which I have on DVD. I went to Dave's at about, well maybe it was 12 PM, I didn't make a note of the time. On Monday I did an update to the website. I updated the webcam page, I migrated from Qik to UStream after I got a recommendation from Drew after I spoke with him on the phone on Thursday. Anyway Dave started to paint the kitchen, he put the first coat on today which was pure white. He also painted the cealing (I don't know how its spelt). We have a sample of two paints, both shades of blue. We are buying the real paint tomorrow and getting started first thing. We used Dulux (photo below) paint to paint the skirting boards and the door frame and then used Matt paint for the first coat. On the subject of the kitchen, at my mum's house the kitchen is also getting completely redone. Work is starting tomorrow. Today I also played Indigo Prophecy, also known as Fahrenheit. I had a good setup. I used my VGA cable to plug the laptop into the TV for video and used RCA cables from the headphone jack to the stereo which was moved into my room the other day. Thats basically all I did today, not very interesting, but hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting. Well we can only hope. Oh, I almost forgot, we went through the ARC car wash today, I have a video but haven't uploaded that yet, but I do have a recent video on there which I recorded today, in this vid, I show you around my dad's car (Citroen C4). Citroen is a French car make. Heres a link to that video. Oh and I've also added an image from my London trip below, to see the full album please follow this link. Well thats all for now, AU REVOIR.

Today's Update

Well I have to be up at 5:30 AM tomorrow morning as we have to leave at 6 AM for the long car journey. I will take lots of pics and vids. Yesterday the council came and did work on my street, they were there to replace broken pathment. They actually did a good job. They came back again this morning and did more work. Today we moved the furniture in my Dad's living room, we did that at 6 PM. We moved the stereo into my room. I can also plug it into my TV and get surround sound! Anyway I am off to watch Lost, and going to use the stereo to listen to it! Heres a pic of the stereo in my room:

Thursday - Now Off School Until 22nd

Well I am now off school until the 22nd February. The reason the break has started early is because Thursday and Friday are parent-review days. I have already had mine at 9:00 AM and it didn't look good. I didn't have good grades. I need a minimum of five Es to get into college to do the course I have chosen, I was expected to get 4 Es, a D and a C which is brilliant but I only got 3 Es. I am going to have to start revising/studying more. That will begin on the 22nd when I return to school. At least the review is over and done with and I can just relax for the next 11 days! I am always well-behaved at school, just recently I haven't been concentrating. I have improved though. Anyway, yesterday it snowed but it did not lay as it wasn't cold enough (above freezing(0 C, 32 F)). Right now it is sunny and no snow here. However Kent in Southern England are getting it really bad. Makes me glad I live in Northern England. I am going to Kent on Saturday for football but it may be post poned. I certainly hope not but we will see. I have no plans for today, might listen to the radio for most of the day. Tonight from 10-2 AM I will probably listen to the Night Owls which is a popular talk show on Metro Radio. I love that show and it was really entertaining last night. I actually have a recording which I will post on YouTube tomorrow. There was an idiot caller on complaining about the NHS (National Health Service). Anyway, I will check my email inbox alot today so if you want to send me a message you can do so by using the contact form on the website. Please leave your comments also. I always read them. Current temperature in my town is 2 C (36 F), lowest of 1 C (33 F) and highest of 8 C (46 F).

Update

Sorry for not updating. On Saturday I went to Chester to see the football. It was great, my Dad is a supporter of Ebbsfleet (based in Northern Kent). And they won against Chester 2-1. I actually have a video of them scoring the 2nd goal! That is going on YouTube later. Anyway it was a good day out. I finish school tomorrow as Thursday and Friday we have parent review days. I am also off for one week. On Saturday I am driving down to Kent to see Ebbsfleet play home against York. I hope Ebssfleet win, doubt it though as York are top of the league. I might also be meeting Darryl. Many of you don't know who he is but he is a friend of mine. He has the same condition (asperges) as me. He used to watch me on Justin TV. He lives in Tonbridge, which is in Kent. I can't wait to meet him, still a bit scared though. Well I am sure its natural. And I am sure things will go okay. On Sunday me, Dave and Dawn are getting the train into London city to see the landmarks, etc. Then we are driving back home on Monday. So I am stopping in Kent over the weekend. I am looking forward to it.
